  6. Installation instructions

  8.    Please ensure that the MOBILINE.INI file (normally found in \WINNT) has the entry
  9.    'WorkDir' in the 'Settings' section. It must point to the MobiLine directory.  E.g.
  10.    [Settings]
  11.    WorkDir=c:\mobiline
  12.  
  13.    In order to successfully complete the installation you must have administrator or
  14.    power user rights.
  15.    Please start the program 'A:\INSTALL.EXE' and follow the instructions.  If the
  16.    installation is successful the MTG3FAX printer, driver and monitor will have been
  17.    copied and setup ready for use.

  21. Removing the printer driver
  22.  
  23.    Start 'Control Panel', select 'Add/Remove Programs' and then 'MT FAX G3'.
  24.    After confirming the dialog the MTFAXG3 printer, driver and monitor are
  25.    removed.

  27.    If one of the following messages occur :

  29.    'Could not remove printer driver    Error 3001' or
  30.    'Could not remove monitor DLL    Error 170',
  31.  
  32.    then it is necessary to remove two keys from the Windows NT Registry manually
  33.    (for which you need administrator rights).

  35.    - Close all programs that are using the MTFAXG3 printer
  36.  
  37.    - Start 'regedt32.exe'
  38.  
  39.    - Remove the keys
  40.      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\F@X Port
  41.      and
  42.      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\MTFAXG3 Printer

  44.    - Close 'regedt32.exe'.

  46.    - Logout and restart the computer (Logging out alone is not enough).

  49. The method described above may be necessary if the installation produces similar
  50. messages.
